Welcome to the official web site of the Professional Fire Fighters of Maryland (PFFMD).  Since 1969, we have been the umbrella organization which represents affiliates of the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) throughout the State of Maryland. Collectively, our organization boasts a growing membership of almost 10,000 professional fire fighters, fire officers, and EMS employees, currently represented by twenty Local Affiliates of the IAFF.

Our Officers and Affiliates meet on a quarterly basis, or more often as needed, to discuss, plan, and enact means by which to improve the jobs of our proffessionals and the safety of our citizens.  We employ diplomacy, grassroots efforts, and legislative changes to protect our members and those whom we serve. 

This site is designed to introduce PFFMD to the public, and also to serve as a communications tool by and between our Officers and Affiliates.  If you wish to contact your Local Affiliate, please either click on "Affiliated Locals" on the left menu, or select a Local from the drop-down box on the top right of any page.
